June 22, 2008 HYANNIS, Cape Cod - Crocodile Dundee, step aside. Barnstable police and Barnstable Natural Resource officer rushed to the rescue of a Hyannis neighborhood where a man reported finding as an alligator resting under a car this afternoon. The animal was described as 3-feet in length and about 60 pounds, said Natural Resources Officer Thomas Murray. The call came in as a 911 call and at first police were not sure if the caller was joking. However, Lt. David Cameron and Patrol Officer Therese Gallant hurried to Hiramar Road, and kept "an eye on the animal" while awaiting forNatural Resources to arrive," Sweeney said. We got a mini "Lake Placid" on Cape Cod. MASH PLACID!!!!! Or Placid Marsh, I'm not sure how it goes.

I don't think there is anything at all "placid" about finding a gator underneath your car...but the original movie made me laugh...Betty White feeding cows and her husband to a gator....gotta love it!
