This cemetery is not famous, But its a little hidden Indian burial ground I was wondering if you had ever bin to. It's on the 6a strip between 134 and bass river. The only way I know how to send you there is on the right hand side if your coming from the 134 end heading to bass river, is a brown sighn for a conservation area. There is a road there where I usualy park, And then across the street from the road there is a covered path made of small tree branches and it leads into the cemetery. It's very small. I love the entrance way.

Hmmm, might be the one near the Cape Playhouse, I'll have to check that out. I haven't been there, but some other Team member may have been, thanks!

We did go out to Mercy Brown's grave; as I remember, it was a nasty rainy day too. This is a picture of Derek and Rosemary in front of the crypt where Mercy's body was held. Mercy's grave is to the left, and the rock that was mentioned is in the picture as well. This is Mercy's gravestone.

I drove by that burial ground today, and the brown sighn does NOT say conservation area. It says . . . INDIAN BURIAL GROUND! haha. (Osprey Ln, Nobscusset Tribe) It is very close to the playhouse, so possibly the same. Not so hidden, still good.

Just read up on Mercy Brown. Had never heard of that. Disgusting, but interesting.

Yeah i used to live right near the indian burial sight right up on scargo hill rd. if i remember correctly it is right next to the red pheasant restaurant. a really neat cemetery right near there. if you turn around and head down 6a towards 134 again and keep going you will see a road School st if you take the first right off of school st that is south st. (By the wqay this is a very old settlement called Sesuit neck) and keep following the road you will see the cemetery with some very very old grave sites on the right. Should you take the dirt road after that (not reccomended to drive unless you won 4wheel drive) it will take you out to crowes pasture a beautifull pretty unspoiled area. Also before the cemetery on the right is an old abandoned roadway that if you walk it goes through the marsh out onto 6A

Just another quick cemetery post because i wanted to post a few on marthas vineyard that are not marked and i happened to find while wandering around in the woods LOL 1. Just off of tashmoo overlook towards the pond and old waterworks there is a partially overgrown Small pox cemetery Very interesting to look about and kind of depressing 2. Off of county rd in oak bluffs near Farm neck is a developement called waterview farms. if you drive around down there you will come apon a very very old cemetery site with some beautiful stones and such. also if you go down towards the water you will find a marshland anf if you venture out there at the very northern tip of the Marsh you will find a mostly destroyed old house with bits of rusting appliances and chimneys and such very interesting and really have never been able to find out who owned it, However i did get quite a spookey sensation when i was a kid and would venture out there

You know you're a ghost hunter when...................... ...................you and a fellow Team member go for a half-hour drive to a cemetery, during a blizzard, to get the prefect picture. Thanks Tom, that was soooooooooo much fun!!! ((another shot of Snow White's grave taken on Sunday, Jan. 27))

LOL - no that wasn't Tom and I. We didn't head down to visit 'Snow White' until later in the day - in the midst of the storm no less.
