I think this should be the next study for CAIPRS Crpyto -- Justin?
The Mayan calander indicates that the world will end on Dec 22 2012. There are several prophecies contained in the Mayan codecies (codexes?) -- I don't know all the facts, but this could be a fascinating topic for a lecture.

2012 has been predicted as the world would end. Yes Myan and other related calanders around the globe seem to point to the same year and date. This does not constitute the end of the world though , it may be the beginning of a cycle of some sort where the world as we know it will change. Whether its for the good or the bad this date is coming up fast so lets get cracking on this!!

Thats a good point, Dave. I recall the 'Golden Harmonic' era of the early 90's I believe that were predicted in the Mayan calander prophecies. Its possible that 2012 will simply usher in a new era...

I don't really care if the world ends on 2012. If it does that means I can finally relax. But it is an interesting topic to study.

Aside from huge shifts in consciousness and the end of the world, a lot of people believe that the earth with actually shift axes in 2012. Rotate axis? I don’t know, but there is a lot of information to support that the polls were defiantly at different places at one point and there was a sudden shift. Like wooly mammoths being found frozen with daisies in their mouths in the artic. Daisies don’t grow in the artic. A substantial shift would cause sea levels to rise, warm places to be frozen, yada yada. Google er up. There are also a few mythical type animals associated with 2012 Like the quetzacoatl and the phoenix. Maybe they’re not mythical, but they are said to have disappeared and due to reappear about now. Look up, look waaaaaaaay up.
Just a few few lil tid bits of information. Defiantly is a fun subject to read about, people get pretty crazy with their theories.

I remember back in the 80s the earth was also supposed to shift off its axis, several books were written about it at the time. I wish these people would get their dates correct, how is one to prepare if they keep switching dates?

Not only that, but you know what else is suppose to happen in 2012.
Fire an brimstone will fall from the sky. Rivers and seas will boil. Four years of darkness Earthquakes Volcanoes. The dead rising from the grave. Human sacrifice; dogs and cats living together. MASS HYSTERIA!!!!
Don't you love Ghostbusters.

So, on 'the day the earth ends' we hit the Statue of Liberty up with a little bit of Jackie Wilson......... "Your love, liftin' me higher Than I've ever been lifted before So keep it up, quench my desire And I'll be at your side forevermore..." And all will be saved!!

Yes, that's what I've been telling people. You don't need to look to religion for salvation. You need to look to Jackie Wilson.

Im psyched about the 2012 shift...Edgar Cayce did say the axis would shift around the early part of the 21st century...It would greatly change things but change can be interesting...Also, as for the occult view on this, from what I have read, looking into crowley's / OTO / Golden Dawn views, we're entering the age of Horus/Ra-Hoor-Kuit...The perfect union between the devine and the earthly....interesting stuff.
